I’m Roger, son to Mexican immigrants, born & raised in the Irving Park / Albany Park neighborhood of Chicago. When I’m not filming weddings, I work as the Senior Brand Innovation Manager at Chicago Beyond, an impact investor that backs the fight for youth equity. Apart from Big Day Cinema I also own AyKid Shots Productions, where I take on a variety of creative freelance projects that come my way.
Before working at Chicago Beyond I was a multimedia producer at Chicago Tribune for five years. There I had the honor to produce the best video stories I could for everyday Chicagoans that shared their stories with our journalists. I have a love for documentary style filming and I carry that passion and technique into to how I film weddings.
I’m a firm believer that everyone is a star in their own movie and each day we have the opportunity to add the best scenes we can to it.
